I'm a rookie repair guy and looking for a good heat gun for a GPU reflow on a Toshiba Satellite C55D-A5380.
Any suggestions will be great and my budget is $40 dollars, yes it has to be cheap. I have been searching on Amazon and ebay but the item description states that they are for removing plastic or paint. Most of them have an operating temperature between 50 - 650 C*. I just saw one on a computer repair site for 20 bucks and a operating temp of 300 to 600 C*.

Thank you and good day.

Something like this may work for you: https://www.zeny.us/collections/automotive-tools/products/zeny-858d-hot-air-gun-rework-station-smd-solder-soldering-digital-3-nozzles?variant=30442511885. You can usually find Zeny equipment on Ebay for a good price.

Hello man and thank you. I read your reply today and you know what... I purchased this same heat gun and used some flux paste but now the laptop fan doesn't start. There's power and if I take the ram out I get the BIOS codes but the fan won't start. The first reflow attempt didn't fixed the no video dead GPU of the machine but the fan was working but thhen I tried a second reflow and now the fan won't start. Maybe I shorted or burned the board but if I remove the ram I get the BIOS beeps codes so I suppose the board is not shorted right?

Well, I will make a new thread about this issue. The laptop is a Toshiba C55D-A5380

thanks
good day
