4+4 eps vs 8 pin pcie

I read some other posts about this
still haven't gotten it... my current gpu (gtx 1080 strix) uses a 6pin pcie and a 6+2 pcie.
will it be fine if I used a 4+4 eps instead of the 6+2 but still keep the other pci (meaning 1 eps 1 pcie)
im gonna cable manage the HECK out of my case and I wanna make it extra pretty

Solution
The 4+4 cable is only meant for the motherboard - DO NOT use it for the GPU. The GPU only takes the PCIe cables.

On top of that I don't even think the 4+4 connector would even fit in the GPU.
