Confused on gtx1080 and gtx1080ti

I have recently decided to purchase a GTX 1080ti but i am a bit confused.
While comparing a GTX 1080 and 1080ti I noticed the gtx 1080 had a boost clock of 1835MHz and the 1080ti had a 1670MHz. What does this difference mean? Also the GTX 1080ti I have decided to buy, is it good?

This was the GTX 1080: ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 8GB ROG STRIX Graphics Card (STRIX-GTX1080-A8G-GAMING)

GTX1080 20/20 SM units (or 2560 CUDA 'cores') 8GB of GDDR5X memory at 10000-11000 Mhz (Effective) with a 256bit bus.

GTX1080Ti has 28/32 SM units (or 3584 CUDA 'cores') 11GB of GDDR5X memory at 11000 Mhz (Effective) with a 352bit bus.

Both are the Pascal architecture so their cores can be compared directly. GTX1080Ti should be about 70% faster by the raw core numbers. A bit more to it with the additional memory bandwidth. And it is harder to get that many cores to a high frequency as compared to the smaller card. Though both should peak around 2100Mhz core clock if overclocked (Assuming cooling is adequate)
