Lenovo Laptop - Samsung M.2 SSD runs quite hot?

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 700-150ISK. Its primary SSD is the Samsung MZVLV256HCHP (256Gb).

The past few days, the drive has been running hotter than usual: 60 degrees C under normal usage and 65 degrees C when copying/writing. It is hotter than any of the other components (with the CPU and GPU around 40-45 degrees C). It doesn't go down even when I keep the laptop elevated.

Is this normal for an M.2 SSD? I am worried since this is my school laptop.

I am using CrystalDiskInfo and HWMonitor. Both report the same temp range.

There is no fan around the area of the SSD, which explains why it doesn't have enough airflow. I just cleaned the fan recently, so my next step is probably to get a cooling pad for it. Unfortunately I have had it for a little bit over 2 years and thus I no longer have warranty :(

EDIT: I think I'll just put a heatsink on it to see if it improves the temp.

Yes, it is definitely odd. I was thinking of a malware or something that constantly accesses the drive, but a malwarebyte scan doesn't come up with anything.
