GpU Boost OC Problems

Ok so i own a Nvidia Asus Strix OC gtx 1080ti and i set my boost clock today at 1708mhz and hit apply then ran a game just to see if it would work run at 1708mhz and nothing happend at all doest even work like what is the point here???Asus gpu tweak 2says its still running at1503mhz stock boost and even restarted my pc and ran cam then checked it out agin same its on stock still! Im confused asf this Shit not making sense at All......

Not all the tools will read the current frequency or check it as often. Try MSI AfterBurner or EVGA Precision. HWInfo64 will often under-report from what I have seen.

There is a little more to overclocking than just setting the frequency. You should need to change the power limits to exceed the pre-set boost clock. Typically.
