Overclocking: Task Manager Shows 5.3 GHz, but Overclock is 4.3 GHz

So I noticed in Task Manager's Performance tab that the CPU's speed was 5.2-5.3 GHz. I have a stable overclock @ 4.3 GHz, 1.15V. In CPUID Hardware Monitor it shows the clocks at 4.3 GHz, so is Task Manager just... Incorrect?

Thanks for the help!

Solution
Oh okay, I was just a little concerned..? Even after restarts it still shows that value, usually 1 GHz above my overclock, e.g. 5.4 GHz @ 4.4 GHz, 5.2 GHz @ 4.2 GHz, etc.
Nah, don't pay any attention to it. You would outright crash if it was running that high.

Also, my i5-4690k runs at max clock, even with dynamic clock and Intel Speed Step.
Control panel > Power Options > Balanced.
Using performance mode maxes CPU speed.

Sorry if my questions are noob-ish. :D
No worries. I learned about this last month.

Yeah. Task manager can do it. Usually, a restart fixes it. Use CPU-Z. It should be accurate most of the times.

recheck through BIOS, difference reading is common with seconds triggering app, but you'd notice the closest accurate # base on your own setup, if you use 8700k (4GHz base - 4.7GHz TB stock BIOS) and task manager shows 4.3GHz then your during that moment your CPU could be running at four active cores, 4.4GHz three cores and so on

@zebarjadi.raouf Thanks for your help. Is there really any performance benefit to run in performance mode vs balanced?

@dederedmi5plus Yeah I getcha, seems my clock speeds are normal then :)
