Hi everyone! I just upgraded from a i5 650 i know seems ancient to the fx6300 with a 990fxa ud3 both were used of ebay mobo 16g of gskill ripjaws but stock mobo gonna get one soon gonna give up a ram slot for a decent air or water cooler not sure yet but since i changed the mobo an cpu all my games freeze or crash sometimes i feel like steam is the problem but it dosent allways freeze just closes the game or the game will freeze up but ill still have control of the mouse but cant access an open program or restart it i have to hold the power button anyways any ideas also i just got a new 1060 gpu but had the gtx 480 before an all my games would play when i had the old cpu an board in just great just not the beat fps i would like any help would be appreciated

it might be that you need to download the right drivers or if the mobo is a oem board then sometimes certain graphics cards are just not happy with each other. i had this when i had a acer oem board and was trying to upgrade to a gtx 780. if you can then try the individual components, especially the cpu in a different system and see if it runs okay.
