I have 4 working Ram dimms (all the same model, brand, speed, ect., i recently found an old intel mobo, 4 ram slots, all my memory work in slot a2, none of the other slots work, if i insert ram into any other slot, or combination of slots, board wont post, with one stick of ram in A2 install windows, no sweat,

Can i try to repair the board with a "bank transplant" or re solder the contacts? Any other kind of troubleshoot?

You can try it....but I think it might be a hell of a tricky solder job.

The other thing is....I think there is a good chance the problem may not be with the slots themselves. I think the problem may lie elsewhere. So you may spend a lot of time for nothing.
