VGA to PCI?

I have a a 1050 Ti and all the power go thru the motherboard slot with no PCI. but I have this other computer that has a 1060 and that one has a PCI that needs plugged in. I tried to switch the 1060 to the computer that has a 1050 and I get no display so I look and see if I have a PCI cable and I only have 2 VGA. I tried that and it didn't work. Will a VGA to PCI Adopter work? I'm planning getting a 1080 here soon and don't wanna waste my money if the adopter won't work. The computer I'm wondering about has a z370 motherboard, i5 8400 6 core, 8gb RAM, 1050 Ti

Trying to understand your question now that I have more information.

Your PSU should have the proper PCIE cable to power your GPU. (8 pin 6+2 pin) What PSU do you have?

A VGA cable is what connects to a GPU and Monitor. You do not have those slots on either GPU nor will you need them with that monitor. Your GPU should connect to your Samsung via HDMI cable.

I'm not sure what PSU I have i bought it prebuilt and it didn't give that info. The other computer I have has a PCI that comes out of the PSU that hooks up to the GPU and the one I want to work on only has 2 VGA that comes from the PSU. I don't have problems with the display with the 1050Ti cause it doesn't take PCI it just plugs in the GPU slot unlike the 1060 cause that takes PCI. So would I have to upgrade my PSU so I have those PCI cables so it can handle the power? Or will a VGA to PCI adaptor be fine with the power?

Many will disagree with me, there I said it.

I look at it this way, if a PSU does not have the proper connections for a GPU, get one that does. Not a fan of adapters for power.
