Over the last few days any game I play the ping will go up to 700-900 constantly. It normally happens after being in game for about 10-15 minutes and I only have this problem on 1 PC. The PC is hardwired and its been fine up until this point. Im thinking its a hardware issue but I dont know how I would check to see whats causing the issue. My Motherboard does have the Killer Network Drivers installed but I dont have any of the software installed as that usually makes things worse. Any ideas what it could be?

Edit: My actual internet is fine I get 30mb/s on average and the ping is usually around 25ms but when gaming it just seems to fail

To check the public side of your Internet connection, use DSLReports Line Quality Test. This will tell you if there is something happening with your ISP.

To check the private side of your Internet connection, go to a command prompt and run an extended ping to your gateway (ping x.x.x.x -t), and another one to google (ping 8.8.8.8 -t). Let these run in the background while you game. When you hit 900 latency, check to see what these are doing. This will tell you if you have a general problem, or just a problem connecting to the game server. If these both lag out at the same time your game does, you have a connection problem between your computer and your router. If only Google lags with your game, you probably have an issue with...

If only Google lags with your game, you probably have an issue with network saturation (i.e. too many people on netflix) or your router is having connection problems with your ISP (check its logs).

Initially, I'd try swapping your ethernet cable too. A bad crimp/cable can cause this kind of behavior too.

I hope this helps.
