Second monitor randomly stopped working

I rebuilt my PC and upgraded some parts a week ago along with installing a new copy of Windows 10. I have a dual monitor setup. The first monitor is a Planar 22” touch screen and the second is a 40” Samsung TV. I have two Gigabyte Radeon RX560 Gaming OC 4G GPUs in my system in which each monitor is plugged in. So my setup is something like this:

Radeon RX560 (1) - HDMI - Planar touch screen monitor

Radeon RX560 (2) - HDMI - Samsung TV

When I initially set everything up I couldn’t get the Samsung TV to work as a dual monitor. After wiping out the current drivers and installing the latest Radeon software I got it to work. It’s been working great for the past few days.

Last night I updated Windows and restarted my computer. Everything worked fine. And I was on it for a few more hours after that without any problems. This morning I turned on my computer and the Samsung TV isn’t working again. I’ve tried every troubleshooting method that I can think of:

- Making sure cables are working and securely plugged in
- Trying to detect the display in the display settings
- Restored Windows to a previous setup
- Updated Windows and then disabled automatic updates
- Fully erasing the drivers including using a DDU to fully clean out any corrupted files

The odd thing is that when I’m in the middle of reinstalling the Radeon software my Samsung TV picks up for a few seconds. Within those few seconds I’m able to move my curser over to the Samsung TV and click on things. This is when the installation process is at 61%. A few seconds later when the installer gets to 62% the Samsung stops working again. I forgot to mention too that the tv detects that the computer is plugged into the HDMI port.

Does anyone have any ideas? I don’t want to have to wipe everything and do a clean install of Windows again... which might not even work. I am completely baffled and stumped :??:

My specs are as follows:

- ATX case
- Intel i7 6700k Quad Core 4GHZ CPU
- Cooler Master aftermarket CPU fan
- Cooler Master 120 fans (X6)
- Gigabyte GA-Z170XP-SLI LGA 1151 mobo
- 32GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4 RAM
- Gigabyte Radeon RX560 Gaming OC 4G graphics card (X2)
- Optical drive
- Thermaltake RGB 700W power supply
- Planar 22” touchscreen monitor
- Samsung 40” LED TV

The only things I upgraded from my old setup which worked fine since I built it a few years ago are the GPUs, power supply, and OS

Update:

I wiped everything out again, updated the driver for one of the cards via Device Manager and both the monitor and tv worked! Then I decided to turn the computer off and on...it doesn’t work again.

When I go back into Device Manager and try to update the cards, the desktop on the tv starts to go in and out. Then it goes completely black when the driver is “successfully” finished installing.

I’m going to buy a DisplayPort to 2 DisplayPort hub and plug it into one graphics card with the 2 outputs going to each monitor. I really hope that’ll work. I’ll check back in just in case someone else runs into a similar problem with these cards. These cards do not connect over SATA so I think there is an issue with them communicating properly over the motherboard.
