Hello,
I get the message "Access is denied" after trying to copy "ntldr" from my XP Pro install disk and when I try to change permissions by typing "attrib -h -s c:\ntldr" I get the message "The parameter is not valid".
Can I get a helping hand please?
Tks.

Hello : Windows doesn't allow standard access to any of it's system
files. To bypass this behavior Logon as Administrator or equivalent
and start a CMD session.

( ie: Start=>Run=> CMD )
At the prompt type: ( substituting the drive letter etc. as necessary)
attrib -s -r -h C:\NTLR

This resets the System, Read-only and Hidden flags enabling you
to copy the file.

IF the above won't help you out

then you can check the following URL for more hint

Ok... after alot of sweat...

The big reason I was getting an access denied was because I was mistaken in which drive my cd rom was actually in.

to know exactly which drive your cd is in at the c:\windows prompt

type map
that will tell which what is where and to which letter.
I kept thinking mine was the d drive, and trying to copy from that kept giving me - access is denied.
after correcting that mistake, it copied the files with no problem using the correct cd drive letter.

The system is not perfect. Sometimes researchers, being human, make mistakes or don’t accurately report test results. Sometimes a drug that passes all of the earlier clinical trials is approved for the market, and later turns out to have unwanted long-term effects. But the important point is that there is a system, one with very well established protocols and regulations, so if a researcher or drug company messes up somewhere along the way, either intentionally or unintentionally, there is accountability. The same simply cannot be said of the illegal imports discussed above. Nor can it even be said about most of the legal but unregulated remedies and supplements and treatments on the market, many of which are ineffective at best, harmful at worst, and sometimes as pricey as some prescription drugs.cialis, cialis, cialis online
