Application not found

Hello,click on SYSTEM RESTORE and message says "application not found".Computer running very ,very slow.Time on bottom toolbar has stopped.ccccccccI am not that good with computers.Windows XP.Help.I am going crazy.Vince

Have one last try at getting System Restore to run by going Start then Run and typing into the Open box c:\windows\system32\rstrui.exe - then hit Enter. That's the full path to the right file and if that throws the same error message, it can't run so go into Control Panel>System>System restore and tick to turn it off. Click Apply and wait some while for the OK button to turn black then hit that and restart the computer to regain the hard disk space.

Now to the reason for wanting to run it. Slowing systems can be down to lack of hard disk space, shortage of memory or RAM, malware and lots of other problems. Have you used your anti-virus programme lately? How big is the hard drive and how much free space does it have?
