Hey there,

So today I upgraded my BIOS to the latest, using DOS, the upgrade said it had completed succesfully and told me to restart and remove the disk which I did. When i had restarted an error of "CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded" appeared. At this point the mother board shows '74' on the motherboard diagnostic led. I firstly tried to press F1 (Continue) which then lead to my monitor receiving no signal and the led turned to '86'. I then restarted the pc and tried to press del (Setup) this time, the monitor once again recieved no signal and the error code on the led was now '7F'.

I also tried removing the power and the battery to the CMOS, this did nothing to the problem. I am unable to get it to boot up the flashing program using a floppy drive either.

Is there anything else I could do to try and get my motherboard working again?

Hrm, seemed to have fixed it... All it took was to use a PS/2 keyboard instead of my USB keyboard... *sigh*
