Red tiny pixel in black spots on my monitor?

It only appears on dark spots on the monitor.

(1920x1080p monitor, GTX 760 GPU)

Could it be a dead pixel? I recently bought it a long with my custom-built computer.

It sounds like a dead pixel. Look really close at it and you can probably see that it's just one pixel if that's what it is.

Try taking it back to the store...sounds like a dead pixel.

Are they "dancing around"? I had the same problem with my EVGA GTX 660 now. The solution was to change the HDMI cable (the one that comes with the PS4 works!). It wasn't damaged (or so it appeared), but all the dark spots are now perfect again.

The red dot disappeared yesterday, not sure why but.

Weird... The pixel probably found a way to "revive" itself.
