Tesco Mobile Confirms It Will Carry Samsung Galaxy S4

The UK's Tesco Mobile has confirmed plans to carry Samsung's Galaxy S4. The general store revealed plans to sell the S4 earlier this week and threw up an order page for the device, which is out today. Tesco will be selling the phone on contract with service from O2, T-Mobile, Three, or Vodafone. Pricing will see the phone offered for free on contracts starting at £37 per month. Of course, that's assuming you'll be signing a 24 month contract.

Unfortunately, it looks like there is a limited number of units available, as Tesco warns on its Galaxy S4 splash page that there is a limited quantity of phones. Word of a shortage of supply began doing the rounds earlier this week and it looks like it applies to the quad-core unit shipping in the UK as well as the octa-core North American model.

The Galaxy S4 was announced on March 14 in New York City. The phone packs a 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED PenTile display, either an octa-core Exynos 5 or a quad-core Snapdragon CPU (depending on the region in which you're buying the device), 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel camera, a 2-megapixel camera up front, 16GB or 32GB of storage, and a 2,600mAh battery.
