Nero disc burner software gets PDF copy protection
Hannover (Germany) - Nero, developer of a popular disc burning application with the same name, today announced that the April update of the software will add PDF protection as part of its DRM technology SecurDisc.
According to the company, the new feature for Nero 7 is designed to prevent duplication of PDF documents burned onto DVDs and should provide document authors with more confidence that their PDFs will no be re-distributed and/or altered along the way.
SecurDisc has been introduced before and offers data encryption and password protection, digital signatures and, according to Nero, "higher data reliability through data storage redundancy and defect management."
