Craigslist Helps Rescue Cat From A True
Source: Tom's Hardware US – Category : Miscellaneous 10 comments
Denver (CO) - Apparently Craigslist can help rescue a stuck cat better than the local fire or animal control department. Denver resident Matt Slaby posted the online ad after a stray cat got itself stuff in a 60-foot tall tree for five days. Slaby had called the local authorities including the fire department, animal control and tree cutting services, but those organizations either refused or wanted to charge a fee.
The Craigslist ad was a catalyst for a story in The Denver Post and the owner of a nearby tree-trimming service responded by driving 30 miles with his bucket truck to rescue the feline. One of the neighborhood kids will now adopt the cat.
Oh and if you’re wondering, Slaby did pay for the man’s gasoline - a very nice gesture considering that stuff isn’t cheap these days.

Craigslist Helps Rescue Cat From A True
A TRUE!!
Come on Tom's, do you ever proofread.....ever?! It's the title! How can you screw that up? Wow.....
U isn't even next to E!
"a true".
A little advice read it twice and after that, ask someone else to read it again.
Anyway nice story, I'm happy for the cat.
And this is from Humphrey, the actually journalist.
What was a cat doing with a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme in the first place?
What was a cat doing with a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme in the first place?
Cooling its heatsink, obviously.
"got itself stuff"
you mean ...'got itself stuck'? The 'c' is close to 'f' but the 'k'???
@turbolover22
It passes the spell check so it gets put in the article. Seriously, I think that's is as far as this site's editing goes.
I thought it was going to say "Craigslist Helps Rescue Cat From A True Monster". But then I find out it's just a typo.
This story kind of makes me happy. When I was a kid, our cat got stuck in an elm tree taller than our house. My mom called the fire department to ask for their help, and their response was, "Lady, you've been watching too many cartoons." With neighbors' help we managed to get the cat down. Someone offered, of all things, a *crossbow*, which we used to get a rope over the limb the cat was on; we used the rope to raise a cardboard box with a plate of tuna in it, the cat got in to the box, and we lowered her back down. But she was up there a long time, more than a week, before we managed to get her back down, and we were really getting desperate. I'm glad the internet is making this easier!
