Dell today announced two additions to its laser printer product line. The new 1710 and 1710n, priced at $200 and $300, aim at basic small or home office use. Both monochrome printers offer printing speeds of up to 27 pages per minute and a resolution of 1200 by 1200 dpi.
The 1710n model comes with an additional 16 MByte memory and integrates networking capabilities. For an additional $100, both, the 1710 and 1710, can be wireless enabled with a wireless printer adapter. Other features include a 550-sheet paper drawer, USB and parallel ports. Memory upgrades are available up to 160 MByte for the 1710n and up to 144 MByte for the 1710.
