Merom to top 50% of Intel notebook processors in Q1 2007
Next newsIntel plans to raise the proportion of Merom to over 50% of its notebook processor shipments in the first quarter of 2007, making 64-bit dual-core models the mainstream in the notebook market, according to industry sources. Intel's latest plan will reduce production of its Yonah processors in the fourth quarter, and by the end of the 2006, Yonah processors will only account for 30% of Intel's notebook processor shipments, down from the current 50%, the sources revealed.
