Over on Twitter, Lenovo announces that its Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ Android tablet is now on sale with a starting price of $369 USD. This tablet features a battery cylinder and a kickstand on one side of the device, allowing users to prop it up like a notebook display. The design thus provides three unique modes: Hold, Tilt and Stand.
"In Hold mode, the weight of the device falls into your palm rather than your fingers, making it more comfortable for reading and browsing," explains the product page. "Lay it down into Tilt mode and you have a perfect viewing angle for typing or gaming. Flick the kickstand and rest it upright in Stand mode to comfortably watch videos, listen to music, or video-chat."
The specs show that this tablet sports a 10.1-inch Full HD (1920 x 1200) IPS screen with a 10-point touch input, backed by Qualcomm's mighty quad-core Snapdragon 400 clocked at 1.6 GHz and 2 GB of low power DDR2 RAM. This setup is powered by a 9000 mAh Li-ion battery promising up to 18 hours on a single charge.
The tablet also provides 32 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for adding up to 64 GB of additional storage. There's also an 8MP auto-focus camera on the back, a 1.6MP HD fixed-focus camera on the front, two front-facing speakers, and Android v4.3 "Jelly Bean" (4.4 "KitKat" is coming soon). Connectivity includes Wireless N, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
"Unlike most tablets, the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+'s speakers face front — toward you — rather than to the side or out the bottom," reads the product page. "Combine that with Dolby Digital Plus enhancement and you have a rich, immersive sound experience that's perfect for watching videos or listening to music."
