The UK's Virgin Media launched a brand new unlimited mobile plan. Dubbed VIP, Virgin brags that this is the only tariff that offers unlimited calls to 0870, 0800, 0845 and 0808 numbers along with unlimited data, texts, minutes and inclusive insurance from just £26 per month. Interested parties that aren't already Virgin Media broadband, TV or home phone customers will see prices starting at £31 as opposed to £26.

We've built VIP to be the ultimate worry-free monthly tariff, with unlimited calls to many 08 numbers as well as inclusive insurance with 24 hour handset replacement for Virgin Media customers," said Graeme Oxby, Executive Director, Mobile & Home Phone at Virgin Media. "In fact we’re so confident in our VIP pay monthly tariff if customers can find a better tariff out there, we challenge them to take it!"
The VIP tariff is not available to those just looking to get a SIM. If that's you, you can get a 30-day SIM-only VIP tariff with unlimited texts, data and minutes for £15 per month. If the unlimited data in particular is catching your eye, you may want to reign in your excitement. Virgin says its usual Acceptable Usage Policy applies, and tethering isn't allowed.
