ATI today released a second version of its Radeon Xpress 200M chipset: This time, the chipset aims at Intel notebooks and offers the features of the Xpress 200M for the AMD64 platform, released in February this year.

Features include support for Pentium M and Celeron M processors, DDR2-667 memory, integration of power management through Powerplay 5.0, as well as Dynamic Lane Count Switching (DLCS), which can reduce GPU power consumption by up to 30 per cent by adjusting power on-the-fly, according to ATI.

ATI said the new Radeon Xpress 200M will be available through OEMs and ODMs such as NEC, Asus, Quanta, Compal, Wistron, Mitac and LG. (THG)
