L.A. Noire Announced for PC

L.A. Noire is the latest epic title to come out of Rockstar. While L.A. Noire is actually the product of Australian studio Team Bondi, it shares many of the same characteristics that make it fit right in amongst the rest of Rockstar's open world games.

Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers got their L.A. Noire delivery in May, and now it's confirmed that the game will be headed to PC this fall. Rejoice, PC gamers!

Rockstar said in a statement:

Developed by Rockstar Leeds and built to run on a wide range of PCs, L.A. Noire's robust feature customization includes keyboard remapping and gamepad functionality to both optimize and customize performance and user experience. Along with increased fidelity and improved graphical enhancements, the PC version will also feature 3D support for an even greater sense of interaction and immersion within a painstakingly detailed 1940s Los Angeles.

Now with L.A. Noire PC-bound, Rockstar fans can refocus their complete attention on hoping for a PC version of the most excellent Red Dead Redemption.

Why do I get the feeling it will be a port from the xbox 360, where the frame rate suffers in the pc version.

I agree. if it was ment for PC they would of made an announcement for PC at the same time, but i never really heard any news till now. I pridict that it will go the same way as other ports. It will piss off a bunch of PC users, will still not be able to take full advantage of the PC be it bad code or sucky cut and paste libraries, and will look like it belongs on a consol and not a PC.

Played it, finished it, loved it. Don't know why they bother with the port. Either they release it together and let people chase what platform they buy on, or they don't bother and leave it console only.
As a result it looks like they it is destined for a half-baked job based on the expectancy that sales will be low.

I've learned my lesson. DON'T buy anymore games for PC. I've got this killer graphics card (DirectX 11) and sadly most games don't even make use of it.
