LEAK: Dell's Mini 5 MID Specs Confirmed
But there's still no word on launch or pricing.
Unveiled at CES, we've heard little about the Dell Mini 5. Known internally as the Streak, rumors had the device packing a 5-inch WVGA 800 x 480 touchscreen, 3G, Bluetooth, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, a microSD slot and a 1,300mAh battery.
This week, a leaked flier has confirmed all those reports from last year. Available in a wide array of different colors, the flier doesn't reveal much that we didn't know already when it comes to specs. However, internal documents leaked to Engadget tell us the Mini 5/Streak will have Amazon content (via the Amazon store), Kindle applications, Amazon MP3s and Amazon video streams.
Check out the three videos of the Mini 5 below. The first one is Michael Dell being hounded by TechCrunch and the second is a video tour posted to YouTube last year. The last one is a teardown of the device.

This device seems to be too small to be much a a great e-reader, too big to be phone/mobile device, not set up as a portable gaming device - I'm just trying to figure out how successful it will be
It could be interesting...I'm just not totally sure where it fits.
This or the HD2?
It's the bastard child of electronics, no one wants it because they don't need it (although if you gave it to me, I wouldn't throw it away).
Can somebody show what the video conference looks like? What program does it use for video conf?
and yet this is still more capable than the iPad... iPad is just a wannabe.
OMG! I couldn't figure out the fingers on the guy with the freakish hand on 2nd video. I guess I can't buy one, I dont have enough fingers to operate it...
I'd buy one of these. I've been debating buying an Archos Android tablet but I do like dell's design aesthetic. I guess I'll make my choice when this is released and I can compare side by side
Same resolution as my TP2. Worthless.
Did anyone sees the long finger nail to use to pick on his nose later, nasty. Music suk also
Can i get the soundtrack to that disassembly video? so metal
I would really be interested in one of these. To me it seems the perfect size for the waist and if internet and docs are easily usable on this device it could be all that I am looking for.
I love my blackberry but for the web and editing or viewing ms office docs it just isn't enough
It's almost certainly running 2.1 since dell have confirmed it'll be running something newer than 1.6 which leaves 2.0 (which wasn't out for long before 2.1 was so unlikely), 2.1 and 2.2/5/whatever
