With Samsung Electronics and Hynix Semiconductor continuing to migrate to higher-density NAND flash production, the spot price gap between the two Korea memory makers' low density 1Gbit parts narrowed to 28.2% for the month from July 15 to August 15, down from 57.8% once month earlier, according to figures gathered by Asia's IC Exchange.
