Modern Warfare 2 Trailer Released, Looking Good
Still modern. Still warfare.
Okay, so it’s not called Call of Duty anymore. Now it’s just Modern Warfare, and the first real trailer for the sequel is here.
Originally announced at the Game Developers Conference in late March, Modern Warfare 2 is the direct follow-up to the immensely popular Call of Duty 4. When we first learned about it, the first materials contained nearly no visual footage, instead only relying on audio.
Now we have a full two-minute trailer showing off real-time footage. As expected, the game is still very much about warfare – and it’s still set in modern times. When Call of Duty 4 came out, it was one of the best looking games at the time. Modern Warfare 2 appears to be built from the same base technology as it’s predecessor, though we’re sure that there’s been several upgrades all around.
Modern Warfare 2 will be in stores on November 10, 2009. Infinity Ward hasn’t yet said which for which platforms it’ll be hitting, but Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC are safe bets.

Raidur Looks very nice. I actually really enjoyed the single player on CoD 4 and this looks very promising.Reply -
The_Blood_Raven The feel of the weapons in Call of Duty 4 are extremely tight, but the AI was average at best. Even on the hardest difficulty settings they would still get out of cover mid-reload and fail to throw grenades back, not to mention long range shots with shotguns. Also the only real strategy the AI had was getting to cover as fast as possible or run into the line of fire with rocket launchers, not very intelligent.Reply
That said, the single player really had some of the best moments in my entire gaming career and I play it to this day.
I'm really excited about Modern Warfare 2, can't wait. -
curnel_D I'm not real excited for this game and the biggest reason is because it will be designed for the X-box once again. This means that despite there being a PC game, the graphics wont improve much.Reply
We may get better animations or an improved art direction, but we're still at a standstill with X-Box graphics technology.
We really need another PC exclusive FPS. -

You want graphics? Play Crysis. =D -
Emusnacks What I like about Modern Warfare is that one does not need a top end video card to play at 100+ FPS. My old 8600 GTS played CoD4 flawlessly, and I am hoping Modern Warfare 2 keeps up this tradition.Reply
Good gameplay and good graphics, all while allowing even average graphics card to play this game at decent settings means a lot more money for the manufacturer.
Win-win situation for both the consumers and Infinity Ward.
