Rovio's Bad Piggies is Fastest Selling #1 Game on App Store
Rovio's done it again...
Apparently, just about anything that Finnish developer Rovio manages to get its hands on turns into App Store gold.
After the overwhelming success of the Angry Birds series, Rovio decided that it was wholly unfair to just have fans play from the birds' point of view. In Bad Piggies, you take control of the pigs. Rather than destroy any of the already-ired birds' nests, the point of Bad Piggies is to create machines to help the pigs get through set obstacles at each level.
With Bad Piggies, Rovio's managed to soar to the top of the paid App Store charts yet again. It broke its previous record times for hitting the number one spot with Amazing Alex and Angry Birds Space by doing so within three hours of its launch.
Bad Piggies launched on September 27th for iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac.

guru_urug Thats why it is so important to have a good first app in any app store. Being known as the makers of Angry Birds has definitely contributed to the success of Bad Piggies, which in no way is less than a very good game in itself but reputation matters. I laud Rovio for atleast innovating and not milking the angry birds series.Reply -
frombehind Making mountains of money while providing mildly entertaining software to the public? Good for them! Now if only 1% more of people did productive things like this with their time, just think of how wonderful this world would be... =)Reply -
lpedraja2002 I saw a video review of the game and it actually seemed pretty fun. I honestly don't know why people got so obsessed with Angry Birds.Reply -
Shin-san The licensing for the Angry Birds IP has been insane. There's just about everything except official Angry Birds Toilet PaperReply
