While Sony’s Xperia Tablet Z is now available for pre-order, a recent sales pitch by the company has started to shift attention to the generally less popular white model. Those who pre-order the 32 GB version in white before May 24, 2013 will receive a free cradle as a bonus.
The tablet runs on Android’s Jelly Bean operating system, with fairly standard specifications for its product class. The 10.1-inch full HD resolution screen is joined by a 1.5 GHz Spandragon S4 Pro as well as 2 GB of RAM. The 2 megapixel front camera and 8 megapixel rear camera are hopefully going to be better than the previous Xperia tablets. The newer tablet at least has a handy IR emitter, which you can use to control your TV or other devices instead of using your remote. The price for the 16 GB black version is currently $499.99, while the promoted 32 GB white model with cradle is $599.99.
