Report: Sony's 2013 Smartphone Flagship Codenamed 'Odin'

Sony is reportedly preparing to launch its lineup of Android-powered Xperia smartphones in 2013 that will be spearheaded with a flagship device codenamed "Odin".

While details are minimal, model numbers for the device are C6052, C6053 and C6056, with the last number of each model representing a different region. The device will also apparently launch sometime during 2013 and run on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1.

A mid-range "C160X" that comes equipped with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A CPU, as well as an Adreno 200 GPU is also due to be released with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. Its resolution is just 480 x 320, with the actual screen size unknown. An entry-level "C150X" is also planned, but details are scarce.

AndroidAuthority said the "C" in the smartphone model numbers could suggest that the Cyber-shot branding Sony integrated into previous phones will be making a return.

I am already hearing that our little phone screens are about to go full HD 1920x1080...
And what about processor? That looks to be a single core CPU.

Odin is Samsung's Flasher software. Hope it doesnt end up in legal issues, though a codename shouldnt cause any serious problems, guess Apple's made me skeptical.

Lemma guess, it will have a large touch screen running Android? I wonder what Sony will bring to the table. At least Samsung added touch phone data swap which is kinda cool.

If this was an attempt at sarcasm, you failed miserably. If this was an attempt to show off your disregard for other people's faith, you succeeded - I just hope that you find the peace and belonging that you so desperately crave. Because, why else would you attack a God of love and grace?
