BlackBerry's Porsche Design Z10 to Cost £1500 ($2400)
Just in case you have that kind of money lying around, you know?
Here's one for the ultimate BlackBerry fan. The Canadian smartphone maker has teamed up with the Porsche Design arm of Porsche to create a luxury Z10. In terms of specs, this is just a regular Z10 with a small bump in storage capacity. The Z10 packs a dual-core 1.5 GHz CPU, a 4.2-inch display, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of on board storage, an 8-megapixel camera in the back, and a 2-megapixel camera up front. This luxury model bumps that storage up to 64 GB. It also supports a further 64 GB via MicroSD.
While it might be the same on the inside, this device doesn't look like an ordinary Z10. Made from stainless steel and featuring a hand-wrapped Italian leather backing, the device also comes with a unique BBM PIN that will ensure everyone knows you have the Porsche Design Z10 as opposed to the regular version.
No word on whether this phone will enjoy a global launch. For now, it's only available for shoppers in the UK. Harrods will be selling this puppy for £1500. You can also pick one up at the Porsche Design store.
This isn't the first Porsche Design BlackBerry we've seen. Cast your mind back to January of 2012 and you might remember Harrods was selling a blinged out Bold 9900 for £1300. Apparently it sold pretty well.

rexter It would be limited edition so it won't do much to boost Blackberry sales. They should create better "FREE" apps that'll turn sales on their favor. Example. GPS map that dont need data so its always available if you ever got lost. Tracking apps for your car, phone, pet, your partner and you :) Lock your house, bank, phine, car and even start it too. Unfortunately this phone is just like the other ones. I wouldn't buy it even if I have cash and owned a porche. Phone with better camera is better spend to take photos of my Porche GT. Just saying...Reply -
halcyon Why in ????'s name would any self-respecting person buy this? Really? Really?Reply
I mean, I understand that blackberry is in a bit of trouble but come one. ...not even funny. -
-Fran- I can totally picture the broke-Flanders and Homer buying picture with this one, haha.Reply
A- Oh, it looks nice. I'll give you 5 bucks.
B- But its worth $2400!
A- The bill is getting away, it's going back into my pocket! Ooooh!
B- Ok, fine
Cheers! xD -
icemunk Holy smokes! That's 2.5 times the cost of an iPhone 5S 64GB! and I thought those were over priced! Similar specs though...Reply -
velocityg4 Would have been smarter to make it designed by Chanel®. At least that would guarantee some sales. Every woman that flaunts her wealthy status by buying all their overpriced merchandise would have to own one.Reply -
Grandmastersexsay This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen.Reply
Who in the world would want a Blackberry?
