Gmail Introduces Multiple Inboxes, Kinda

Just a week after Google introduced the ability to work offline with Gmail, the team has announced that users are now able to view multiple inboxes at the same time.

    I actually used this in a really cool way if you have mail forwarded from another mail address like hotmail then in your setting use a filter to skip the inbox and move right to archive and on the same setup use a label for from your email address then all mail from your other email address is forwarded automatically to this label then just setup one multiple inbox for that label. It works quite well

    You could just forward all of your email to one account and then filter into multiple inboxes in that account (assuming gmail actually lets you do that, I haven't tried).

    How about adding IMAP support for external mailboxes? I find that feature more important than this.
