Intel tiger uses price cutting to spoil AMD strategy

The profit warning AMD issued earlier this week is due to Intel slashing prices on flash and putting serious pressure on the smaller firm, it has emerged.
AMD's Spansion division did well for much of 2004 on flash sales, but it appears that during the third calendar quarter Intel used its undoubted muscle to woo back customers from its much smaller competitor.
