Prince Says ''The Internet's Completely Over''

Prince, and at one point, the Artist Formerly Known as Prince, is one of the greatest musical artists of our time. In fact, he was ranked at 28th in Rolling Stones' list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.

This immensely talented man doesn't have much love for the internet, computers or other digital gadgets, though.

In an interview with UK paper the Mirror, which he is doing an album promotion with, Prince said that his new album will be released only on CD – no internet downloads through iTunes, Amazon, or any other form digital distribution, direct or not.

Prince is even against having his music play on YouTube and he has even shut down his official website. The artist explains that he doesn’t see any future in the internet.

"The internet's completely over. I don't see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won't pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can't get it."The internet's like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good."They just fill your head with numbers and that can't be good for you."

Well, if Prince says it, it must be true...

I guess I'll just go home and pack up anything that connects to the internet and see if anyone wants it...

The novelty of the internet may have waned, but it's not going anywhere either. It's not as exciting as it was a decade ago, but it's here to stay.

Well, I do agree with 'him' on one topic:

MTV used to be MUSIC TeleViosn, and actually played videos! This "Reality" programming is just cr@p. As bad a E!
