Join Tom's Hardware On Pinterest!
You've probably heard a whole lot about Pinterest lately. This image-sharing Web site has become the new "it" social network. Well, Tom's Hardware just opened a Pinterest page, and we want you to join us. Need an invite? No problem, we'll send you one!
What is Pinterest?
Pinterest is a social network for sharing images, and there are all kinds of images on Pinterest. From artwork to consumer products, from cars to nature photography, from lolcatz to printable coupons, you name it.
According to Experian, Pinterest is now the third largest social network in the United States. According to comScore, Pinterest reached the ten million unique monthly visitors mark faster than any other Web site... ever. And incredibly, Pinterest is still invite-only!
How It Works
On Pinterest, users pin images to albums known as pinboards. Pins can be uploaded to Pinterest from the user's files, or simply as links to images already on the Web. Like any social network, Pinterest users follow each other, and can like pins posted by other users. Along with liking other people's pins, users can also repin those images to their own pinboards. Your Pinterest feed contains the pins, repins, and likes of people you follow.
Join Us On Pinterest
Our Pinterest page will have fantastic imagery from all things geek. Anime, Cars, Case Mods, Comics, Cool Accessories, Sci-Fi, Star Trek, Star Wars, Steampunk, Zombies, and Video Games are just some of the pinboards we've already created. Anything else you want to see? You name it. Just tell us and we'll keep a lookout for it!
Get Tom's Hardware's best news and in-depth reviews, straight to your inbox.
You can also share us on Pinterest. See an image you like in a Tom's Hardware article? Our share widget can now pin it directly to one of your pinboards, providing you have a Pinterest account.
Don't belong to Pinterest, and need an invite? Just send us your email address via a private message to pinterest in the Tom's Hardware forums. We'll keep sending out invites to Pinterest as they come in. But be warned, once you start pinning, you could get lost for hours.

jhansonxi While I'm not inclined to join up with the latest Internet hype, the steampunk case mod is awesome.Reply -
stevo777 I went and checked out Pinterest for the first time last week and I hated their design. This is just my personal opinion and shouldn't be taken as anything but that. It just seemed like the equivalent of a person who just babbles on and on.Reply -
soccerdocks I just find the layout and most of then content Pinterest to be catered to younger women who have kids. I really don't like the layout. The only people I know who use Pinterest are female whereas most of the readers on this site are male. I really don't think using Pinterest makes sense given the demographics of Toms.Reply -
thety6on I just went on the site and like 90% of what I saw were women commenting on puppies, food, and men. Why Tom's?Reply -
alidan ok, found what is the worst thing about pintrest in less than 5 minutes of useing it.Reply
the site has thumbs of images, i want to save full sized ones, problem is, uses can flag a site as spam or as inappropriate, and wont let me venture to them to acquire the full size image.
so yay, another site that could have been really good decided it wants to police what i can and cant see.
asside from that, i still find it has uses, mainly the ability to find interesting images and such.
