With over 150 million tweets sent about the 2012 Summer Olympics, the event has become one of the most talked about topics in twitter history. To commemorate the peak of Olympic tweeting, Adidas has teamed up with British designer Nash Money to create what may be the world's most unnecessarily social shoe.
Using an Adidas "Barricade" tennis shoe as a base, Nash added some flashy LED lighting and a small, two-lined LCD that lets users see essential twitter statistics and feeds. But before you get too thrilled about owning a pair of twitter shoes, keep in mind these Adidas probably won't be entering production. Unless of course you are Usain Bolt and want to check up on the 80,000 tweets per minute your feet are getting you.
