Fallout 4 Annnounced, This Time It's In Boston
Seven years ago, Bethesda Game Studios brought the nuclear wasteland to Washington D.C. in Fallout 3. Now the developers are back with the next installment in the series. The first trailer released today is for Fallout 4, which will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
The fiasco started yesterday when the game's official site posted a countdown to 7 am EDT this morning with the familiar "Please Stand By" backdrop. At the end of it, we were treated to the long-awaited announcement through a three-minute trailer.
The trailer seems to be very ambiguous as to the setting of this new game, but a few key landmarks such as the golden dome of the Massachusetts State House, the Bunker Hill Monument, a stranded U.S.S. Constitution, and the Paul Revere Statue all point to Boston and the surrounding areas as the new post-apocalyptic backdrop.
This isn't the first time we've heard of Boston in the Fallout universe. One of the quests in Fallout 3 called "The Replicated Man" puts the player in charge of finding a runaway android that believes it is a human. The android comes from a place called The Institute, where high-quality robots are made to look like humans. However, there is another organization called The Railroad, which seeks to free all androids from the clutches of The Institute. These two groups reside in what is known as The Commonwealth, or in other words, post-apocalyptic Boston.
The trailer comes with less than two weeks left until E3, gaming's biggest trade show. Bethesda is also hosting its first-ever press conference on June 14, the Sunday before E3 actually begins. With this early announcement, there's bound to be more gameplay footage shown during the event and throughout the rest of E3. Rest assured, we'll be there to cover everything that Bethesda has in store for the gaming community.

Well at least these graphics look realistic. As in, the graphics the game will actually have and not just some prerendered trailer BS. -
neblogai It doesn't have Fallout wibe. Of course it's just the trailer, but I do not believe Betheda can make a product with a substance. What they do is 'attempt at being cool', but are unable to create something real, believable, with a soul. My brain is still denying existence of Fallout3(?)- I hope Obsidian will be hired to fix the game again.Reply
