Recent NAND flash contract price incentives from makers to memory module makers are prompting clients to unload their NAND flash into the spot market, worsening the spot price slump, according to industry sources. To encourage memory module makers to agree to take delivery of more NAND flash to help clear their inventory, suppliers are offering them deals under which the clients will receive compensation for the difference between the current contract price and the spot price at a later date, the sources said.
