Nothing like a bit of gadget porn to start the weekend off on the right foot.
The DROID 2 just became available to the general public today, but as usual, the folks at iFixit have torn the device apart before most of us had roused ourselves from our beds.
If you've got your eye on the limited edition R2-D2 DROID 2, you'll notice that the phone in these images is not the droid you're looking for. However, considering the insides of the R2-D2 edition and the regular edition DROID 2 are the same, these images should keep you satiated until R2-D2 hits shelves on September 30.

bpeglow I used to work at a Motorola refurbishing plant 6 years ago and really these phones aren't any more complicated to build than the old ones judging by the pictures.Reply -
hankafyin I used to be leery of taking a part small electronics, until I popped off a couple keys on my laptop, and then reflowing solder on a PS3 for a buddy. It just takes patience, the right tools, and sometimes a magnifying glass. I love gadget porn. Thanks Jane.Reply
