This Neverwinter Nights 2 Mod Revives Baldur's Gate

This fan made mod of Neverwinter Nights 2 may give Beamdog and Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition a run for their money.

Designer Drew Rechner and his team have been working on Baldur's Gate: Reloaded, a mod based off of Neverwinter Nights2 since 2006. Reloaded recreates the experience of the game in 3D. Though Reloaded might not be the most up-to-date looking game (Neverwinter Nights 2 is now 7 years old) but the sheer amount of work that the team's put into the development is impressive.

Baldur's Gate: Reloaded requires Neverwinter Nights 2 and its expansions Mask of the Betrayer and Storm of Zehir to run. It's free for download through Nexus Mods here.

To get an idea of how the mod looks, here's the launch trailer that Rechner's uploaded to YouTube, below:

Damn... you know it's been so long since i played either NWN2 or Balder's Gate. Might have to dust it off for this mod. Totally looks like it would be worth the time.

This certainly looks a LOT more impressive than Baldur's Gate Enhanced. Very nice work.

I admire the amount of time and effort these guys did in adapting BG to the NWN2 engine, but quite honestly the camera in that engine is so terrible, one wonders if that fatal flaw will make this all for naught.
BTW, I found the Morroblivion mod to be much more impressive and playable.
