Google is Making the PAC-MAN Doodle Permanent

By - Source: Tom's Hardware US | B 32 comments

Happy Monday, guys.

That Google PAC-MAN doodle was incredible, right? Everyone had so much fun and despite most Doodles only sticking around for 24 hours, this one was in place from Friday to Sunday. We were sad to see it go but it turns out our tears were shed too soon. Google is keeping it!

That's right, google.com/pacman will now host the game that soaked up 98 percent of productivity this past Friday. Now you can play it whenever you like. Oh and for those of you wondering, it's not just the game, search is there too. So set your homepage to google.com/pacman and get next to no work done every day.

I think you can even play it on Android based phones too (but it's more challenging because you can't use the track ball)

Maybe Google can make more mazes. Can Google be translated in different languages? Or find some other way of making something that pertains to Google and make it a maze. Maybe the word "Browser" or "Operating System".

I enjoyed it, pretty cool to see that they plan on keeping it.

I think they should make more games :)

TA152HI hate to say it, but Pacman and its successors were the girly games at the time. As a guy, you really didn't want to play this game, or be seen playing it.It's kind of funny how even video games had that stigma. Defender, for example, was a "macho" game, in contrast to Pacman. I have no idea how these things are made up, but I do remember it existing.

    Yes, how do these happen?
From what I understand, Halo/CoD are for sissies, and Crysis Wars/Battlefield are macho.

Good job Google. You surprised millions and put a smile on our faces, even the ones who weren't even born when the game was made.
