Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) has launched its new family of 8-series motherboards for Intel’s 4th Generation “Haswell” processors. It will be initially offered in three distinct tiers: Essentials for “home and multimedia,” Deluxe for “small office and home,” and Pro for “power computing."
The new family of motherboards will utilize ECS's new Durathon durability technology, which includes a triple density PCB, extreme temperature resistance, 1.5K point marathon testing, and “superior solid capacitors designed to greatly improve motherboard quality, stability and longevity." Also included is the company’s Hyper Alloy Choke technology, Sound Blaster Cinema, 4-way video output (DVI, HDMI, Display Port and D-Sub VGA), EZ quick charger and 4K video output.
The new chipset features support for full SATA III 6 Gb/s internal ports and PCI-Express Gen.3 x16 bus design.
ECS’s Essential, Pro and Deluxe motherboards will begin shipping in Q2 2013. The company plans to launch an additional tier for “gaming and high performance processing” following soon afterwards. The company’s “Believe to Achieve” launch trailer is available below.
