Amazon Shipping Chromecast Orders Abroad

Google's Chromecast audio/video streamer launched in the United States in July, but Google hasn't mentioned any specifics about selling the device outside of the U.S.A. However, if you've been dying to get your hands on a Chromecast, you might want to check out Amazon, because the online retailer is now shipping Chromecast internationally.

Chromecast costs $35 and is a media streaming adapter. The 2-inch dongle connects to your TV via the HDMI port and streams audio/video content over WiFi, allowing the user to stream content to their TV from either the Chrome browser or from their mobile phone or tablet. The device sold out at Amazon and Best Buy soon after it launched this past July.

We tried to purchase a Chromecast from Canada and were told that Amazon.com couldn't ship to our address. However, Android Central says it had success ordering from both the United Kingdom and Australia and says others in Hong Kong and parts of mainland Europe have also been able to procure a Chromecast. Let us know if you're able to get your hands on one and where you're from!

I'm in the US ordered one the first few days it was on Amazon. I did have to wait about 1 month until they had supplies again. I've enjoyed Chromecast a lot and at a price of $35 USD it's an amazing product for the price.

I bought mine at launch with Netflix promo so it only cost me $11. However, thanks to the current firmware update it made the device almost useless to me.
