G.Skill Announces 128 GB DDR4 3000 MHz Kit For Content Creation Professionals
G.Skill has announced a new ultra-capacity memory kit designed for Intel’s X99 platform. The latest memory kit from G.Skill includes eight 16 GB modules for a total capacity of 128 GB. This isn’t the first 128 GB memory kit from the company, but this is the fastest memory that G.Skill has ever made available in such a package.
Formerly, 2800 MHz DDR4 with CL 15-15-15-35 was the fastest memory kit available from G.Skill in this capacity, but the company’s new Ripjaws 4 128 GB kit boasts CL14-14-14-34 timings on memory operating at 3000 MHz. G.Skill said the new memory is compliant with the latest Intel XMP2.0 standard for quad-channel X99 systems.
The 128 GB DDR4 kits operating at 3000 MHz will be available through G.Skill’s authorized distribution channels starting at the end of January.

Nice RAM kits, those new Gskill RAM sticks look totally awsome!
It's amazing that 128GB of RAM in a desktop PC is now a thing and not a dream anymore.

Yeah, really.
I'm still happy with 16GB for what I do, but it's good to know that if you need it, it's possible. -
eklipz330 mind blowing. i still haven't filled up my 16gb ddr3 (which btw i got for $60 in 2012...ddr4 needs to drop further to gain my interest)Reply

dstarr3 I just can't wait until we can boot to an OS on a ramdisk. If only we could make non-volatile memory that performed as well.Reply -

I was thinking the same thing. If someone told be back in the XT/286 days that one day people would have 3ghz 128gb of ram, I would not have believed them.
