A 4770k is NOT an 8 core. It has 8 threads. Not the same thing.

Agreed. Someone downvoted you for some reason, but what you say is very true and that is quite a mistake for an article writer that's on a PC hardware site.

As long as we're being pedantic... It simulates 8 cores. Threads are a software abstraction.

It's still not 8 cores. Sure it's not the main point of the article, but that's just plain wrong information and I'd like that fixed.

I liked the original UT, but somewhat hated the sequels or rather just didn't enjoy them nearly as much.

Well, maybe Mr. T hacked the cpu and created 4 more cores! Maybe, Mr. T's pretty handy with computers! Had that occurred to you, Mr. "Condescending" Poster?!

I agree totally, Actually the very 1st game, Unreal is my favorite. I want Epic to go back to Na' Pali for the sequel.

Damn right, I like the feel of the alpha, although it seems you move too fast however when i see my opponents their movement seems fine, player/surroundings ratio is weird.

And yes i felt that going back to roots on the movement options area good thing, CANT WAIT, i play tonight my first pre-alpha..memories of 1999 rose up..all the good friends i have since then. GG
