We added this performance report for the sake of easy comparison. Although the results are different than the ones Chris received on his system (different benchmarks, different settings, different hardware), the delta between Core i7-975 and i7-980X is roughly the same.
Photoshop CS4 scales beautifully with the additional cores and provides a 28% performance boost for the new six-core Gulftown.
