Logitech Brings Back Old School With Trackball

While the mouse as a pointing device has both survived and evolved, the trackball is nearly extinct, except on select smartphones.

Trackballs are wonderful solutions for those with limited desk space, so it's a shame that there aren't more of them. Logitech, however, is revitalizing one of its classic trackball designs in the soon-to-ship Wireless Trackball M570.

Something stationary like a trackball doesn't demand to be wireless, but Logitech has the nano receiver technology so it's seen fit to pair that with the M570. From a single AA battery, the M570 will last an estimated 18 months before another cell is required.

The Wireless Trackball M570 will hit stores later this month with an MSRP of $59.99.
