PC manufacturer Asus is considering to produce its own Windows Phone 8 smartphone, as well as incorporate its Padfone design into such a device should it come into fruition.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Taiwanese company's VP Benson Linis said it's discussing a potential Windows Phone 8 licensing deal with Microsoft.
Lin also suggested that Asus was contemplating whether it should incorporate its Padfone design to the Windows Phone 8 platform. "With our Padfone concept, the phone plus tablet, I think it makes sense for Windows 8."
Asus isn't the only firm considering a Windows Phone 8 device. LG is said to be interested in producing multiple devices powered by Microsoft's mobile platform.

rds1220 Don't do it Asus, your better than this. You don't need to make stuff with crappy Windows 8.Reply -
rds1220 Over the years I have bought MANY Asus products from motherboards, to monitors to wireless PCI cards. All in all I have had no problems with any hardware or peripheral devices from them this though is something I would not buy.Reply -
Bloob This could be a very good. If they could somehow make a complete Frankenstein of a keyboard dock + tablet + phone ( where Win 8 would run on x86 ), I'd propably get it.Reply
