Asus Considering Windows Phone 8 Device
Padfone design incorporated into Windows platform hinted at.
PC manufacturer Asus is considering to produce its own Windows Phone 8 smartphone, as well as incorporate its Padfone design into such a device should it come into fruition.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Taiwanese company's VP Benson Linis said it's discussing a potential Windows Phone 8 licensing deal with Microsoft.
Lin also suggested that Asus was contemplating whether it should incorporate its Padfone design to the Windows Phone 8 platform. "With our Padfone concept, the phone plus tablet, I think it makes sense for Windows 8."
Asus isn't the only firm considering a Windows Phone 8 device. LG is said to be interested in producing multiple devices powered by Microsoft's mobile platform.

4 Hiderds1220 , January 18, 2013 1:33 AMOver the years I have bought MANY Asus products from motherboards, to monitors to wireless PCI cards. All in all I have had no problems with any hardware or peripheral devices from them this though is something I would not buy.

3 HideBloob , January 18, 2013 3:49 AMThis could be a very good. If they could somehow make a complete Frankenstein of a keyboard dock + tablet + phone ( where Win 8 would run on x86 ), I'd propably get it.
