Gigabyte Launches its GTX 780 WindForce 3X OC Rev 2.0

Gigabyte has quietly launched a revision to its flagship GTX 780 WindForce 3X OC edition graphics card that now bears the model number GV-N780OC-3GD 2.0.

It seems that Gigabyte’s only changes have been to replace the original card’s one 8-pin + one 6-pin power connectors with two 8-pin PEG connectors on the GV-N780OC-3GD 2.0. Though it is likely that this was intended to provide overclockers with additional headroom, this is just our speculation since Gigabyte hasn’t provided any formal comment on the change.

For the GTX 760s, the Rev 1 was good ol' windforce 3x. Rev 2 was a different cooler, with one less heatpipe. Don't lemme down terabyte. I mean. gigabyte.
