Max Payne 3 Teaser Shows Lots of Bullets

Max Payne is ready for a comeback tour in the third installment of the series. Unlike the first two games, however, Max Payne 3 is not handled by Remedy Entertainment, which means that this will be a fresh take on our favorite film noir games character – for better or worse.

A teaser trailer has now hit the internet, and from the look of the timecode on the lower left hand corner in the video, it might not even be an official release from Take Two. One thing is for sure, though, and that is that we can expect a lot of bullet-time sequences.

Take-Two’s press release only offers this description for Max Payne 3: “Since leaving the NYPD and New York itself behind, Max has drifted from bad to worse. Double-crossed and a long way from home, Max is now trapped in a city full of violence and bloodshed, using his weapons and instincts in a desperate search for the truth and a way out.”

Max Payne 3 is currently under development by Rockstar Vancouver for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

I didn't realize this was coming out so soon. Hopefully it will be better than the movie.

    1. It's not Remedy anymore.
    2. It's Rockstar.
Conclusion: Another crappy console port with lousy graphics.

    I hope I'm wrong, though.

Kinda cool, but I don't know. It looks to me like they are going away from the whole conspiracy that was building up in the previous two games. Of course, I guess that has to do with it not being from Remedy this time. I guess we'll see.

Trailers like this are pointless if you ask me. What did I learn about the game... Uhmmm... that the creators can mak a good (I liked it anyways) 30 second cinematic? Mk.

Hence the whole "teaser" part of the teaser trailer... It's a marketing tactic to create hype for the game. How many different game sites are spreading the word about Max Payne 3 now?

I wish Max and Mona would look like they did in MP1. MP2's Max looks like a CSI agent and Mona a Russian hitwoman.

The cover art doesn't look like Max at all.

Totally agree, If you ask me that picture on top looks like Vin Diesel.

Seems like the actor for the sequel as been chosen...
